At our school we aim to develop all children so that they are ‘the best that we can be’.

We aim to do this by recognising and building upon their strengths and by identifying their needs and ensuring that these are met.

Every child coming into the school brings with them a wealth of knowledge and

understanding about the world around them, and together we aim to build on these skills

and encourage them to develop a willingness and enthusiasm to discover more.

We are keen to raise standards in all areas and believe that children learn best through

direct experience. Our school has an exciting curriculum based on this principle, which

captures interest, stimulates enthusiasm and provides learning opportunities for children of

all abilities. Pupils are encouraged to take increasing responsibility for their learning which

promotes confidence and independence.
